Welcome to the iconic Golden Steer Steakhouse, a celebrated gem nestled in the heart of Las Vegas at 308 W Sahara Ave. As a cornerstone of fine dining, this steakhouse has become synonymous with a rich history, bringing the spirit of 1950s Americana straight to your table. The nostalgia is tangible, with walls adorned by legendary figures like Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.
Immediately upon entering, you're enveloped in an atmosphere steeped in tradition and elegance. The service here is nothing short of impeccable, with staff that takes immense pride in their recommendations and hospitality, ensuring that each guest feels valued.
The moment you sit down, you'll understand why patrons rave about their experiences. As Nicole Fortunato noted, the meals served are not just food; they are exceptional culinary events that deserve to be savored.
The menu boasts a selection of high-grade, quality beef cooked to perfection. For the discerning diner, the tomahawk steak for two is a must-try, framed beautifully alongside a table-side prepared Caesar salad that takes the experience to another level. While the highlights for many include the Old Fashioned cocktail, deftly mixed to be an easy drink with just the right amount of bitters, the vibrant Pink Drink also deserves mention for those looking for something refreshing.
Appetizers like the giant shrimp and escargot tantalize your palate, while signature sides — especially the twice-baked potato — complement the meal perfectly. Customers like Mark Presley have attested to the restaurant’s ability to deliver dish after dish with exceptional quality, making it a hallmark of true culinary excellence. Every plate is a testimony to the craftsmanship and passion behind the kitchen doors, echoing the very essence of classic American steakhouse dining.
At Golden Steer, it’s clear that every detail is curated for an atmosphere of indulgence. As Idania Apostol and Yung Joven Music articulated, while the prices may be on the higher end, the significant value lies in the experience as a whole — the delectable food, the magnificent service, and the rich history all wrap you in a warm embrace, making each visit worthwhile. For anyone visiting Las Vegas, this destination is not just about dining; it's about creating memories.
In summary, Golden Steer Steakhouse stands as a testament to the golden era of dining. With a history that adds depth to its culinary offerings, this establishment is a true steak lover's paradise that will ensure your visit to Las Vegas is perfectly memorable.

This place came highly recommended by people we know that frequent Vegas and it did not disappoint! Our best meal on our trip hands down. It was expensive but oh so worth it. Everything about our dining experience was top notch. Excellent wait staff, incredible food and drinks and amazing atmosphere. Highly recommend eating here at least once!
Could not have had a better experience. Great food and service. That atmosphere is very 50's themed with Elvis, Frank Sinatra... all over the walls. The staff was fantastic, making recommendations for each member of our party
When it comes to the golden era of fine dining, Golden Steer absolutely delivers. Impeccable service all around, delivering amazing food, dish after dish. Highlights for us were the Old Fashioned and the Pink Drink for cocktails. The bitters in the old fashioned made for an easy drinking starter For starters the escargot and the tartare were our favorites. We opted for the tomahawk for two. You cannot skip the Caesar salad presentation. There’s not a bad side dish on the menu but the twice-baked potato was our fave. The steak was cooked to perfection and was high-grade, quality beef. The salt blend that came with the dish was a nice addition as well. For us, this was the best dinner we had after a week in Vegas. The ambiance, service, food/ drinks came at a surprisingly reasonable price point. Truly the gold standard for classic American steakhouse.
My husband & I came here after waiting almost 4 months for our reservation & it did not disappoint! We ordered the giant shrimp appetizer, caesar salad, bone in rib eye & mushrooms. Everything was excellent & cooked to perfection. I don’t know how anyone has had a bad experience here. The service is top notch & everyone that walked by us was lovely. Yes this place is pricey (not as expensive as other places), yes the wait is ridiculous (due to it’s history), it’s Vegas after all. Overall, we had a great meal and so much fun, we’ll definitely be coming back.
So just going to start that I’ve been eying this place for 2 years!! I’m from California so Vegas is “next-door” but I haven’t been to Vegas in 8 years. Social media definitely hyped this place up of course what we see on social media we shouldn’t believe. But if you are here to have an experience and see a place of history, then this is the place to eat. From the minute we walked up at 4:30 we got greeted but gentleman outside. Extremely nice. All the food was amazing. Service amazing. Table side Cesar salad amazing! Prices are not for the faint of heart. And if you expect any cheap prices then do not come here. But if you don’t mind that and want an experience in all aspects of the service then this is the place! Highly recommend to come here! Thank you Golden Steer staff for a great time!
This place is amazing. It is as advertised. Pricey but worth. Even though they're moths booked out, it actually works out so you can plan ahead to treat yourself to a great night. Been there a few times and not a single bad experience yet. One of the best steak joints I have experienced. Dress to impress, wine and dine.
First time visit....the ambiance brings you back to the old school days of Vegas ....with the decor and the vibe....from the time we stepped inside everyone was very welcoming and friendly! Our server was David and he's a super friendly and knowledgeable waiter! Explained everything on the menu from the wines, appetizers and main courses!!!! Everything was delicious from the steaks and the sides.....will definitely make our way back someday!!! A must try if in Vegas!!!!!
This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me! We definitely got lucky—we arrived at 4 p.m. before they opened and managed to claim a seat in the bar area. The next person behind us wasn’t as fortunate and got turned down for a bar seat. Everyone there was incredibly nice and super accommodating! Alejandro was one of our servers, and he was excellent—super cool and attentive. We started with the Shrimp De Jonghe and the Golden Steer Dinner Salad, both of which were absolutely delicious. For our main courses, we ordered the Prime Rib of Beef (English Cut) and the Chicken Parmigiana—both were so tender you could cut them with a fork. A special shout-out to the creamy horseradish sauce—it was ultra tasty! We also ordered the twice-baked potato, but we were so full that we had to take it home with us. We wrapped up the meal with Bananas Foster, and let me warn you—it’s so good that you’ll do exactly what we did: finish every last bite, even if it leaves you completely stuffed! One thing to note—if you’re sitting in the bar area, they don’t do tableside presentations, so you’ll miss out on that experience. But Alejandro recommended the house Old Fashioned, and he was absolutely right—it was the perfect way to end an amazing meal and an awesome trip!
